A screw vacuum pump is a dry, positive-displacement vacuum pump that uses a pair of counter-rotating, non-contacting screw rotors which continuously mesh, seal, convey, and discharge gas inside the pump chamber. By continuously removing gas from an enclosed space, it reduces the pressure below atmospheric—down to near-zero levels.
